Andaman and Nicobar Administration Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 33 Medical Specialist, Psychiatrist & Other Posts—General Information/Instructions

The appointment under Andaman and Nicobar Administration Recruitment 2026 will be made on a purely contractual basis for a period of one year or until the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier, starting from the date of joining. After this period, the contract will automatically expire.

The contract may also be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice or by paying one month’s consolidated salary, without assigning any reason. The appointment may also be discontinued if the candidate fails to complete three months of service to the satisfaction of the competent authority.

🔹 Service Conditions

1. The selected candidate shall perform duties as assigned by the competent authority. The authority may assign additional duties when required, for which no extra or additional allowance will be payable.

2. This contractual appointment does not entitle the appointee to benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Facilities, Seniority, Promotion, or any other benefits available to regular government employees.

3. Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) will not be admissible.

4. The appointment does not create any right or claim for regular appointment under the Central Health Service or any other government service.

5. Only a fixed consolidated salary will be payable. Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances applicable to Central Government employees will not be provided.

6. The appointee shall be engaged on a full-time basis with the medical institution and shall not accept any other employment, paid or unpaid, nor engage in private medical practice during the contract period.

7. Appointment is subject to the candidate being declared medically fit by the competent Medical Board. The candidate will be referred to the designated medical authority by the concerned hospital/institute before joining.

8. No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be admissible for joining the post.

9. Other service conditions will be governed by the rules and orders issued by the Government from time to time.

10. The selected candidate may be posted to any location across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, as per administrative requirements.

11. If any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or suppressed, the appointment is liable to be cancelled, and appropriate action may be taken as per government rules.
